... and the almond tree blossomed.

It's all NK's fault.

I found myself wandering throught he ruins at Delphi in the Greek mainland. Near the entrance there stood a lone almond tree. It was the middle of January, so of course the tree was not in bloom, but suddenly Nikos Kazantzakis' words rang in my ear. I quietly whispered to the tree, "Sister, speak to me of God." I am still waiting for her answer.

And while I wait for the voice of God to whisper a reply, or for the almond tree to truly blossom in the dead of winter, I blog. I fancy myself a writer. My friends insist I am a writer. Well, as a writer, I must write. And so, here I am. Perhaps my own words will be the almond tree blossoming in your life. I know not where I am going with these words, but I know I shall write.

And if we are lucky we all might hear and see God.
